Your Role We are seeking a collaborative and well‑organized individual with strong attention to detail, an eye for design, and a passion for equity, inclusion, social impact, or purpose‑driven work. As the Global Inclusion Intern, you will receive mentorship and hands‑on experience working with Gensler’s Global Inclusion Studio. You will report to the Global Inclusion Program Manager and be based in person in our Chicago office. You will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that support the firm’s Strategies to Build a Just and Inclusive Future. You will work closely with the Global Inclusion Director, Global Inclusion Program Manager, Global Inclusion Specialist, and a distributed network of inclusion leaders across the firm. Requirements

  • Completion of at least two years of post‑high school education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in equity, inclusion, and community‑focused work.
  • Ability to work – in-person – in Gensler’s Chicago office 40 hours per week (June 2nd through August 7th 2026).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and InDesign is a plus.
  • The team will work with the final candidate to accommodate holiday schedules throughout the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Global Inclusion Studio in addressing time‑sensitive priorities and contributing to projects aligned with the team’s annual goals and firmwide inclusion strategies.
  • Collaborate with Global Inclusion Studio teammates, Global Inclusion Committee members, Regional Inclusion Co‑Leaders, local Inclusion Champions, and Alliance Partners to complete assignments by target deadlines.
  • Provide administrative and operational support, including note‑taking, scheduling, presentation development, and file organization/management.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities as needs evolve throughout the internship.
