This role offers a high-impact opportunity to lead and optimize a global immigration program supporting employees across multiple regions. The Global Immigration Program Manager will own day-to-day operations, manage complex visa portfolios, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and efficiency. You will implement and improve processes, define operational KPIs, and leverage data to enhance speed, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The position requires strategic judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to navigate multi-country immigration requirements. You will partner with HR, Legal, and Global Mobility teams to provide clear guidance and scenario planning while supporting company growth and global mobility initiatives. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and can balance operational execution with strategic program development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of corporate immigration or global mobility experience, including deep US expertise and exposure to multi-country issues.
  • 1–2+ years of providing work direction, mentorship, or managing scaled vendor/outsourced workloads.
  • Strong program and project management skills with the ability to simplify complex requirements and manage multiple workstreams.
  • Experience building or scaling immigration/mobility programs with measurable improvements in SLA, quality, cost, or stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Excellent judgment and communication skills to translate legal nuance into actionable guidance for HR and business partners.
  • Data-driven operator comfortable with Jira, ATS, HRIS, and case-management tools, with a focus on process automation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for major visa categories (e.g., H‑1B, TN, L‑1, O‑1, PERM/green card, J‑1), providing clear guidance and recommendations to HR and business partners.
  • Build and continuously improve the immigration operating model by standardizing processes, documenting SOPs, and enabling Tier 1/Tier 2 teams to handle repeatable work.
  • Manage case lifecycles and H‑1B CAP portfolios, including amendments, extensions, and portability, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders to avoid business disruption.
  • Support global expansion and M&A initiatives by assessing work authorization feasibility, costs, and timelines, and contributing to implementation playbooks.
  • Establish and maintain effective intake processes and employee/manager communications, including FAQs, Jira/HRIS request flows, and updates during regulatory changes or travel disruptions.
  • Define and monitor operational KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and implement data-driven experiments to enhance program efficiency.
  • Partner with HR Tech and People Analytics to automate workflows, strengthen document controls, and create dashboards that reduce manual work and errors.
