About The Position

The Global Imaging and Medical Physics Head leads the imaging and dosimetry components of RLT clinical programs, ensuring accurate patient-specific planning and site qualifications. This specialized role integrates medical physics with clinical imaging to optimize therapeutic outcomes in radiopharmaceutical therapies. Reporting to the CMO or Head of Clinical Development, it focuses on clinical imaging, OLINDA modeling, dosimetry plans, and site readiness for RLT delivery.

Requirements

  • MD in Nuclear Medicine or PhD in medical physics, nuclear medicine, or related field; board certification (e.g., ABR) preferred.
  • 8+ years in medical physics/imaging within biotech/pharma, with RLT experience.
  • Proficiency in OLINDA, dosimetry software, and imaging modalities (PET/SPECT).
  • Strong understanding of radiation biology and patient-specific modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in site qualifications and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Imaging Ownership: Oversee the design and implementation of imaging protocols (e.g., PET/CT, SPECT) for RLT trials, ensuring standardization and data quality for biodistribution and response assessment.
  • OLINDA Modeling: Lead the use of OLINDA/EXM software for organ-level dosimetry modeling, predicting radiation doses from RLT agents to inform safe dosing.
  • Patient-Specific Dosimetry Planning: Develop and execute individualized dosimetry plans, integrating imaging data with pharmacokinetic models to personalize RLT treatments and minimize toxicity.
  • Site Qualification: Qualify and train clinical sites for RLT imaging and physics requirements, including equipment calibration, radiation safety, and data transfer protocols.
  • Data Analysis and Integration: Analyze imaging and dosimetry data to support clinical endpoints, safety monitoring, and regulatory submissions.
  • Innovation in Physics: Advance RLT methodologies, such as AI-enhanced dosimetry or novel imaging biomarkers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with clinical operations, regulatory, and R&D to embed imaging/physics into trial designs.
  • Team Building: Lead a team of medical physicists and imaging specialists (including contractors and CROs).

Benefits

  • Actithera offers a competitive compensation package designed to reward both performance and expertise through market-based, results-driven pay.
