Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone Orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. Reporting to the Vice President, Real Estate, Facility Management and Corporate Operations, the Global Facility Management Sr Director, is accountable for overall Facility Management performance across over 100 locations and achieve facilities management excellence spanning: Risk Management and Compliance: shaping and deploying robust facility risk management processes and governance to drive operational resilience BCP for DePuy Synthes. Drive asset management to deliver asset protection / replacement programs for facility assets globally, ensuring our sites drive to zero unplanned downtime. Crisis Management and Emergency Preparedness: provide leadership in crisis management and escalation for the enterprise. Frequent comms to Executive Committee / senior level leaders to mobilize response, support our people, and react with speed. Drive proactive readiness for unplanned events with potential site impacts. Energy Management: delivers energy reduction programs. Leads the Global Facilities Management team, comprised of FM leaders from around the world to set standards, govern service levels, and respond to the changing needs of the business. Serves as a member of Real Estate, Facility Management and Corporate Operations global LT. Establishes key relationships with internal executives / customers to deliver service levels and meet business milestones in support of their objectives Establishes and manages relationships with senior regional leaders. This includes leaders across R&D, Supply Chain and Commercial function, Finance, and Executive Leadership Team on a routine basis. Establishes and manages relationships with key enabling partners. Establishes and manages cross-regional/global franchise facilities management leadership. The position partners closely internally across the RE/FM and Corporate Operations leadership team, regional leadership teams, global Orthopedics business leaders, strategic service providers, key business partners (e.g., Quality, Finance, IT, HR, Employee Health and Wellbeing, and Procurement), and external regulating agencies. Externally develops and maintains partner relationships with institutional and network forums

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Requirement Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in facilities management, engineering, business, operations management, etc., or equivalent required.
  • Professional Experience Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with experience in health care products is highly desired.
  • Minimum of 10 years managing large global teams.
  • Knowledge of operations management with some background in real estate, facilities management, and delivering capital projects in a complex footprint environment
  • The demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority is essential
  • Demonstrated experience of regional collaboration, completion of significant programs, and people development.
  • Insight-driven to uncover unmet needs. Translate these needs into viable solutions that create value
  • Experience in working with and socializing strategies with executive leadership
  • Experience managing large geographically dispersed teams
  • Proven Leadership and ability to collaborate and influence cross functional business partners.
  • Experience in CRE, facilities and/or manufacturing.
  • People Management Experience Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of successfully managing people, including building and developing technical compliance teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business, facilities management, engineering, etc. or equivalent, is preferred.
  • Certification in CFM, MCR, and/or SLCR is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage global FM employees including Regional Leads, and Site Agnostic regional program leads
  • Accountable for fiduciary oversight and performance management oversight of operating and capital budgets
  • Accountable for relationships with business partners in region to ensure FM operational support of and alignment with business strategies
  • Accountable for alignment between global functions, site-agnostic regional roles, and outsourced vendors
  • Accountable for applying global standards with the region and providing collective regional feedback on programs and standards
  • Accountable for management of facilities assets to deliver reliable performance and year over year cost reductions; Establish and enforce methodologies to generate savings (e.g., cost savings, cost avoidance, etc.)
  • Support and foster innovation to maintain FM relevance and build new capabilities
  • Attract, develop and retain talent to ensure the people with the right skills and motivations meet business needs and are in the right place at the right time
  • Establish a culture of uncompromising legal and regulatory compliance and ensure needed programs and capability to support and implement
  • Align within RE/FM/Corp Ops and cross functional peers to ensure an end-to-end focus across respective teams and in connecting to internal customers’ business needs
