About The Position

The AWS Global Expansion team is seeking a Global Expansion Manager. In this role you will plan and execute market entry strategy, problem solve for complex initiatives related to geographic expansion, and support with optimizing operational efficiency in existing countries. To do so, you will develop corporate entity strategy, driving technical and non-technical cross-functional stakeholders to ensure AWS can continue to operate efficiently and compliantly in new and existing countries. In addition to supporting AWS Infrastructure Services, you will also work across other AWS business lines, including sales, services, and supply chain in response to business needs and regulatory changes. Our Global Expansion Managers have project management experience, strong judgment, technical aptitude for creating scalable processes, a disposition toward continuous learning, an interest in developing market entry strategies, a passion for navigating ambiguity, and the ability to deep dive across a wide range of topics and stakeholders. AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. Requirements

5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
2+ years of driving process improvements experience

Nice To Haves

Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Responsibilities

Lead and advise a set of cross-functional teams, including Tax, Legal, Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Operations, Product, Engineering, HR, Public Policy, among others, to drive the global expansion of AWS.
Execute multiple time-sensitive, large-scale projects to meet business objectives in defined project timeframes.
Identify, drive, and develop best practices, technical solutions, process efficiencies, and project workflows.
Own project management and problem solving for compliance and risk related issues.
