The Vice President, Strategy & Transformation is a senior technology executive responsible for defining, governing, and accelerating the multi-year transformation of the software engineering organization. This role is pivotal in driving Broadridge’s multi-year technology transformation, shaping strategy, and ensuring execution against objectives that enable platform modernization, AI adoption, engineering excellence, and organizational optimization. The role shapes how software engineering evolves across platforms, architecture, delivery models, talent, and financial discipline. The VP is accountable for ensuring transformation initiatives deliver material, measurable business outcomes while preserving the reliability and trust expected of a mission-critical technology organization. This role will manage critical initiatives, streamline decision-making, and foster collaboration across engineering, product, and business units.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of experience across software engineering, technology leadership, strategy, or transformation roles.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering practices, Agile methodologies, and technology trends (AI, cloud, platform ecosystems).
  • Proven experience in leading transformation programs and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Transformation Leadership: Partner with the CTO to define and evolve technology strategy, ensuring alignment with Broadridge 4.0 priorities and market trends. Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes. Monitor progress against transformation milestones and escalate risks proactively.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage dashboards and reporting for KPIs (platform adoption, automation coverage, uptime, cost optimization, talent engagement). Establish disciplined execution models, governance forums, and metrics. Hold leaders accountable for delivery against commitments and benefits realization. Anticipate execution risks and course-correct using data-driven insights. Ensure alignment of operational processes to the Global Engineering Strategy
  • Program & Initiative Management: Coordinate cross-functional programs that enable platform-first architecture, engineering excellence, and organizational optimization. Ensure timely delivery of executive updates, Board-level materials, and transformation scorecards. Drive alignment across CTO domains to ensure initiatives ladder up to enterprise outcomes.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a liaison between technology leadership and other business units. Translate complex technical initiatives into clear executive narratives. Drive transparent communication across global engineering teams.
  • Leadership Support & Culture: Act as a sounding board for the CTO on organizational decisions. Champion talent development programs and diversity initiatives. Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and innovation.
