Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.  Job PurposeThis position serves as a key HR leader supporting three executive stakeholders and providing strategic HR guidance for a global workforce of approximately 2,800 sales and service employees.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree and 10-15 plus years of progressive experience in HR.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large HR groups within a complex environment across multiple countries.
  • Proven ability to work with other business units in support of global initiatives.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to understand basic finance and ability to develop and present business cases in support of projects required.
  • Must be reasonably competent with current applications/technology.
  • PHR, CP or equivalent required.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage up critical.

Nice To Haves

  • Attainment of a graduate degree is highly desirable as is experience working outside of HR (Operations, Sales, etc.) in support of a manufacturing organization.
  • Any other language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire direct reports and their teams to pursue our HR Vision and Mission through innovation globally.
  • Set short and long-term strategy and oversee short term action plans within HR for the Lines of Business. This strategy should be derived from overarching Global identified key objectives.
  • Ensure high quality recruiting and onboarding in support of business needs.
  • Drive towards a high level of engagement in our LOBs
  • Ensure the timely administration of our performance management process.
  • Lead all due diligence related to acquisitions, RIF’s and disposals impacting the LOBs.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Drive process improvement and cost reductions across the LOBs.
  • Manage Union relationships (or lack thereof) to optimize the business in each country.
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR staff with regards to Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Training. Total Rewards and Shared Services.
  • A primary duty is to exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the organization.
