JOB SUMMARY: The Global Data Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management, governance, quality, and integration of mission-critical data supporting the C2BMC system across globally distributed operational, test, and training environments. This role ensures data integrity, interoperability, security compliance, and availability to enable real-time command and control, battle management, and communications for missile defense operations. The position works closely with systems engineering, software development, cybersecurity, operations, and government stakeholders to ensure data standards and architectures support mission effectiveness and system resilience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field relevant to the program area and 5+ or Masters and 3+ years’ experience in similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of Data Management. Skill Set: Data Management, Confluence, SharePoint. Familiarity with DoD security regulations.
  • Experience supporting global or distributed systems
  • Prior leadership of cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the definition and establishment of the Configuration and Data Management infrastructure to satisfy the five pillars of CM b.) Prepare metrics and various status reports c.) Coordinate and Perform CDRL deliveries d.) Administer program engineering board meetings e.) Maintain baseline of program documentation.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise data governance policies across global nodes and regions
  • Define data standards, naming conventions, metadata, lineage, and stewardship models
  • Ensure alignment with DoD data strategy, MDA policies, and joint/coalition interoperability requirements
  • Lead data management planning for program milestones, upgrades, and fielding activities
  • Oversee management of real-time, near-real-time, and historical mission data supporting sensor fusion, tracking, engagement planning, and decision support
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data across elements and interfaces
  • Support operational readiness through validated data sets for exercises, testing, and live operations
  • Coordinate data synchronization across global nodes, labs, and simulation environments
  • Collaborate with systems engineering to ensure data models support:
  • Sensor systems
  • Weapon systems
  • External C2 and coalition interfaces
  • Manage data exchange standards (e.g., message formats, schemas, interfaces)
  • Support integration with joint, allied, and partner systems while maintaining security controls
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • RMF
  • DoD cybersecurity and data handling requirements
  • Classification, labeling, and access controls
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement data protection, auditability, and monitoring
  • Identify and mitigate data-related risks impacting mission assurance
  • Lead and mentor data analysts, data stewards, and supporting technical staff (if applicable)
  • Support proposal development, audits, and program reviews related to data management
