Early Concept Ideation: Initiate and review design concepts, analyze, ideate, and conduct peer reviews of detailed designs. Subject Matter Expertise: Engage as an expert in data center infrastructure design and operations, both internally and externally. Holistic Systems Approach: Oversee electrical, mechanical, network, and control systems with a comprehensive view of data center design. Performance Metrics Advisory: Advise on key metrics such as value engineering, efficiency, resiliency, sustainability, and operability. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in data center business; this could be a combination of any or all of the 7 dimensions (gray space, white space, fiber, cooling, power, controls and rack designs).
  • Technical knowledge in data centers design and construction, specifically Fiber Optics, Electrical systems, Mechanical Cooling systems, Controls, Liquid cooling (Direct to Chip, 2 phase, and immersion).
  • Project Management Experience: Experience with Product Design or Product Management with a working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall.
  • Specialized Industry Knowledge: Ability to create customized data center physical layer solutions tailored to various data center subsegments, including (but not limited to) Hyperscale, liquid cooling, and the modular edge.
  • DMAIC experience for process improvement and drive for excellence.
  • Highly proficient at technical program management, agile and process improvement.
  • Ability to write whitepapers and drive innovation.
  • Executive Communication: Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, clear articulation of abstract ideas, prioritization, and escalation.
  • Initiative: Proactive approach, taking on tasks beyond the role, excellent time management to ensure timely delivery.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Close collaboration with internal teams (development, support, QA) and third-party vendors to design, test, and refine edge cloud solutions, ensuring interoperability and adherence to standards.
  • Demonstrated success working across boundaries in a global matrix organization driving collaboration between business groups.
