The Global Hardware Billing Manager is a key managerial role responsible for end-to-end billing operations, contract interpretation, and revenue recognition for the Hardware pillar. This role leads a distributed team across multiple time zones and acts as the central point of ownership for all hardware billing and revenue-related processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. This leader partners closely with Sales, Collections, Procurement/AP, Legal, and Operations to support clean deal intake, accurate invoicing, and proper revenue treatment under the company’s accounting policies. While the role sits within the Hardware pillar, the Lead operates as part of the broader Accounting organization and may be asked to support additional pillars or accounting functions as business needs shift. What a day in life of looks like: Lead and mentor a distributed billing/revenue team across multiple time zones. Manage workload, performance, coverage, and act as escalation point for complex issues. Own hardware contract abstraction and ensure accurate NetSuite invoicing. Partner with Sales to resolve discrepancies and translate contract terms into billing schedules. Serve as functional revenue owner for Hardware, managing obligations and recognition timing. Oversee revenue schedules, deferrals, and reporting in line with German GAAP and audit requirements. Work with Collections, Procurement/AP, Sales Ops, and IT to resolve billing and operational issues. Ensure alignment between vendor delivery, customer invoicing, and internal processes. Drive process improvements, automation, and maintain documentation of policies and controls. Support cross-pillar initiatives and provide assistance across GL, AP, AR, audits, and systems during peak periods.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership of distributed finance/billing teams in high-volume environments.
  • Deep experience interpreting complex commercial contracts and translating to billing/revenue rules.
  • Strong command of revenue recognition principles (German GAAP a plus).
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • High ownership mindset and ability to navigate escalations with cross-functional partners.
  • Process-improvement orientation with a track record of automation and scalability initiatives.
