The Glass Handler position involves various duties related to handling materials, operating machines, performing quality checks, and adhering to safety protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to cross-train.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Experience reading a tape measure

Responsibilities

  • Safety and quality conscious
  • Good attendance –willing and able to work overtime (short time could also occur)
  • Simple arithmetic skills/able to read a ruler
  • Able to read and understand a schedule/enter data into computer for cutter
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Work well with others as part of a team
  • Read a tape measure
  • Knowledge on machines and able to setup programming
  • Handle material and oversee quality checks
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Reading and understanding blueprints and work orders to be processed
  • Fast-paced work/able to do multiple tasks
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Willing and able to cross-train and fill in for leads in other areas as necessary
  • Adhere to Site Wide Safety Protocols and Requirements (Personal Protective equipment is mandatory)
  • Reading fractions/decimals
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machine can perform function
