About The Position

This position balances and maintains various accounts and reports related to the bank's operations under the direction of the GL Services Manager.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Accounting and bank experience is preferred.
  • Must have prior balancing/reconcilement experience and be familiar with internal general ledger systems
  • Knowledge of customer service practices and principles.
  • Skill in operating various office machines, computers, and printers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, customers, and coworkers.
  • Knowledge of general banking principles and banking regulations and a willingness to participate in educational opportunities.
  • Ability to exhibit precision and effectiveness in a high-speed setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure meeting critical deadlines and have multitask abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Fiserv Premier preferred.
  • Accounting and bank experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reconciling the Fed Reserve Bank account and Correspondent Bank accounts.
  • Balancing various other general ledger accounts.
  • Open and maintain general ledger accounts according to standard coding.
  • Reviewing general ledger exception reports and report exceptions to the branches.
  • Correcting general ledger account numbers for non-posted items.
  • Provides full customer service in a broad variety of duties.
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
