About The Position

Summary of Position: Performs duties to arrange for materials, assign and check work, train and instruct employees at workstations to maintain flow of production and quality standards. Conduct Kaizen events and other methods of process improvement. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Works from schedules, drawings, specifications, and instructions. Reviews production schedule for period and arranges for parts, materials, supplies, tooling, gauges, and other equipment to meet requirements. Makes necessary setups and adjustments of tools, gauges, and equipment and provides drawings or samples to assist employees in performance at workstations. Checks identification, quality, and condition of parts and materials delivered to staging area and records or calls attention to shortages, defective or damaged materials. Plans and assigns work according to established standards and capabilities of employees, revises assignments due to attendance, availability of equipment, material shortages, and similar changing conditions. Monitors operations for conformance to procedures and standards. Corrects variations, checks work to maintain quality and quantity standards and relieve individual operators as required. Maintains various records and reports, investigates, and follows up on status of orders. Trains and instructs employees, assigns, and checks work and overcomes operating problems. Uses hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and a variety of measuring instruments. Assist in design and implementation of work cells. Perform routine audits of work processes. Ability to perform point soldering. Ability to operate automated machinery. Perform tasks with fine motor skills. Follows safety rules and keeps the work area in a clean and orderly condition. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software, including but not limited to: Ability to use basic formatting tools, printing functions, and understand word document commands.
  • Familiarity with workbooks and understand worksheet data entry.
  • Ability to navigate through database structures, create and use Select Queries to view records and perform calculations.
  • Proficiency in JDE software.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to obtain a forklift license is preferred.
