About The Position

The Opportunity : With cloud-based tools, faster GPUs, and the explosion of connected devices, geospatial data has more potential than ever. A skilled geospatial and remote sensing analyst can turn that data into mission critical information. If that sounds like you, we have an opportunity for you to use your geospatial analysis skills to transform the client's lab. As a geospatial and remote sensing analyst at Booz Allen, you’ll work with a team of analysts, domain experts, and developers to extract meaning and context from a variety of vector and raster data sources. Using resources like ArcGIS, you’ll find the patterns and connections to answer our customer’s needs. You'll work with our talented, collaborative and geographically dispersed team, you’ll work directly with a community of 1,000+ users, stakeholders and clients to define and measure reported problems in preparation for team to pick up through resolution. You’ll also execute routine requests within standard operating procedures. You should be exceptional in solving complex and abstract problems within standard operating procedures. On our team, you’ll also use your skills to help analyze data to assess meaning and potential intent. You’ll design and analyze geospatial solutions for priorities like infrastructure, topography, human geography, and intelligence. Join us. The world can’t wait.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with analysis or problem solving in a QA or junior developer role
  • Experience with ArcGIS, spatial data concepts, or GIS-integrated workflows
  • Experience writing and executing SQL and PL / SQL scripts, including debugging and data analysis
  • Experience with a programming or scripting language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or shell scripting
  • Experience with low-code platforms such as Oracle APEX front-end concepts
  • Ability to analyze and clarify incoming issues from users
  • Ability to learn complex systems quickly and apply logical reasoning to unique user scenarios
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with a broader technical team
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Jira, including Jira Service Management or Desk
  • Experience with Oracle environments, SQL Developer, or APEX administration
  • Experience in debugging operational workflows or working with high-volume datasets
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, data cleansing, or bulk-upload scripting
  • Ability to translate user needs into technical requirements for developers
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
