GIS Summer Internship
About The Position

The GIS Summer Intern will support the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team in maintaining, analyzing, and improving spatial data used to support property appraisal and public service operations. This internship provides hands-on experience working with real-world parcel data, mapping applications, and spatial analysis tools in a fast-paced public sector environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in GIS, geography, urban planning, computer science, data analytics, or public administration to gain meaningful experience in local government. Requirements
- Able to commit to work 30+ hours/week
- Current student pursuing certification or bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in GIS
- Junior or Senior classification preferred
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills required
- Detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Able to work independently or in a team setting
