About The Position

GIS SPECIALIST Work Location: Sacramento, CA; ONSITE RESPONSIBILITIES Perform GIS mapping, graphics, and tabular data development. Assist in database design, automation, processing macros, and analytical procedures. Maintain and update geodatabases. Review GIS outputs for data accuracy and adherence to end-user criteria. Assist with online GIS platforms. Maintain logs, records, and files. Provide GIS assistance to Government staff. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Related Experience Bachelor’s degree in geography, natural sciences, engineering, or computer sciences. Three (3) to five (5) years of GIS production experience using ESRI software. Three (3) or more years of experience using Python and/or ModelBuilder. Successful completion (within the past two years) of ESRI training courses may substitute for portions of experience and/or time requirements. Current ArcGIS Desktop or Pro; Building Geodatabases or like coursework; Cartographic Production; ESRI 3D Creation/Analysis or Visualization coursework; Enterprise Geodata Management or like coursework; Modernizing your Field Workflows Using Fields for ArcGIS. Requirements
