TSCG, a privately held, commercial real estate company, is hiring a GIS Specialist / Location Data Analyst in our Miami, Florida office. This position is an in-office position with the ability to have 1 day remote after initial training period. Since 1984, our retail real estate platform has provided a full assortment of advisory services to tenants, landlords, developers, investors, and financial institutions throughout our territory. Position Overview: The GIS Specialist / Location Data Analyst supports TSCG's brokerage and advisory teams by transforming spatial and demographic data into actionable location intelligence. In this role you will produce high-quality maps, trade area analyses, and market reports that drive retail site selection decisions for national and regional clients. You will collaborate directly with brokers, agents, and project managers to deliver accurate, visually compelling deliverables on tight timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required in GIS, Geography, Geoinformatics, Urban Planning, or related discipline
  • 05 years of professional GIS experience; entry-level candidates with strong academic portfolios are encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge of ESRI products Minimum of beginner knowledge of ArcGIS Desktop Standard ArcPro
  • Ability to manipulate a variety of datasets collected within a versioned enterprise geodatabase, file geodatabase, and/or other common GIS file formats
  • Ability to create high quality maps using common GIS techniques and cartographic best practices with firm understanding of symbology layers, styles, layout templates, and company prescribed workflows
  • Experience in the use of common Geoprocessing Tools
  • Experience in the use and creation of ArcGIS Online products including web maps, web apps, dashboards, story maps, and current product offerings
  • Demographic data interpretation, consumer segmentation, and trade area analysis methodologies
  • Retail market analysis including competitive landscape mapping and void analysis
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter who works independently, finds ways to exceed expectations, and thrives with minimal supervision
  • Accepting of new technologies with desire to adopt newest processes and workflows
  • Ability to collaborate, teach and continually learn
  • Passion for visual storytelling using a variety of tools

Nice To Haves

  • GIS Professional (GISP) certification or Esri technical certification is a plus
  • Commercial real estate, retail, or location analytics industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with Network Analyst and Spatial Analyst extensions a plus
  • Experience in the use of Business Analyst Online including project design, report/infographic builder, and current product offerings a plus
  • Experience with Placer.ai or similar foot traffic / location intelligence platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Consult with and advise sales professionals/agents on project scope, data requirements, geographic information available, and complex GIS solutions, while investigating various approaches to maximize efficiency and produce best-in-class end products.
  • Produce high-quality maps, trade area analyses, and demographic reports for client presentations and internal strategy.
  • Develop and maintain ArcGIS Online web maps, dashboards, and Story Maps for internal and client-facing use.
  • Perform retail site selection analysis including trade area delineation, void analysis, and competitive mapping.
  • Extract and interpret demographic and consumer data to support client advisory work and market positioning.
  • Manage and maintain GIS datasets in enterprise geodatabases and file geodatabases, ensuring data integrity and currency.
