Hart & Hickman, PC (H&H) is seeking a GIS & Environmental Data Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of GIS, environmental data management, and technology, and who likes supporting project teams with high-quality data, maps, and visual deliverables. This position supports engineers, scientists, and geologists across diverse environmental projects while offering strong potential for growth through expanded technical skills, increased project involvement, and collaboration with a supportive team. Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in GIS and environmental data management
  • Experience preparing and reviewing EDDs
  • Hands-on experience with EQuIS Data Processor
  • Experience using Survey123 for field data collection and/or project support
  • Strong attention to detail and data quality
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Passion for using technology to improve efficiency and data clarity

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD for environmental or engineering projects
  • Experience developing internal GIS standards or templates
  • Familiarity with environmental datasets (soil, groundwater, surface water, vapor)

Responsibilities

  • Develop maps, figures, and spatial analyses using ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro
  • Prepare and manage Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs) for environmental sampling programs
  • Upload, validate, and manage data using EQuIS Data Processor
  • Support environmental data management, QA/QC, and visualization efforts
  • Utilize Survey123 to support field data collection and integration with GIS databases
  • Prepare contamination isoconcentration maps and groundwater potentiometric surface maps
  • Maintain GIS-referenced files to support site plans and field activities
  • Collaborate with project teams to revise figures and datasets based on technical review
  • Help improve internal GIS, data, and technology workflows
  • Apply creativity to produce clear, professional visuals that communicate complex environmental data
