About The Position

Foodbuy is the foodservice industry’s leading Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) focused on lowering purchasing and product costs for foodservice organizations. Currently we offer a great opportunity for career development as a Sr. Data Intelligence Specialist, NT. The Sr. Data Intelligence Specialist, NT is responsible for supporting analytical and operational activities related to non-transactional (NT) data within the Data Intelligence organization. The primary function of the NT team is to perform detailed research/analysis to validate data requirements being met in converting NT payments to transactional billable opportunities and ensure data integrity by manufacturer, distributor, and customer. Duties may include reconciling datasets, identifying data gaps, supporting process and procedural refinement, and analysis to support Foodbuy business initiatives.

Requirements

  • Completion of undergraduate degree and/or equivalent business experience required
  • Financial or trend analysis experience
  • Purchasing, procurement, distribution, or foodservice experience
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and contribute to building processes from the ground up
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with complex datasets
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and clearly communicate findings across teams
  • Ability to support process and procedural refinement in an evolving workstream
  • Collaborative – works well as a member of a team
  • High level of integrity and ethics
  • Minimal travel required (typically to the corporate office in Charlotte)

Nice To Haves

  • Power BI and/or SQL knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of NT data structures, assumptions, and limitations to support accurate analysis and organizational goals
  • Review, analyze, and validate NT data to support QC processes and reporting
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and trends and escalate findings as appropriate
  • Support the development of processes and procedural refinement as the NT workstream evolves
  • Demonstrates a learning mindset with a willingness to grow technical and data skillsets in support of evolving team needs
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met while maintaining good working relationships
  • Resolve customer challenges, ad-hoc requests and concerns
  • Ensure that dealings with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders are carried out professionally/ethically
