About The Position
The project involves migrating an Oracle Spatial database (Geomedia) to a SQL database maintained through ESRI Roads and Highways (on-premise). The scope includes: Database conversion Software upgrade Ensuring spatial accuracy and system reliability
Requirements
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with GIS/Mapping software & applications
- Experience working with spatial databases
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in cartography
- Experience with database design
Nice To Haves
- ArcGIS Pro
- SQL database experience
- Experience with ArcGIS Roads and Highways extension
Responsibilities
- Produce digital and hard-copy maps using advanced GIS and mapping tools.
- Perform GIS data collection, maintenance, and spatial analysis.
- Update and maintain database tables to reflect changes to GIS features.
- Perform quality control on new and existing data to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in development and maintenance of GIS procedure manuals.
- Conduct software/procedure research and testing as assigned.
- Perform other related GIS tasks as directed by the manager.
