LaBella is seeking a GIS Analyst to support the advancement of GIS and geospatial initiatives, primarily in support of surveying operations, while also assisting other divisions as needed. This role emphasizes the effective use of GIS and related geospatial technologies within LaBella’s surveying workflows and professional standards. The Geomatics Project Manager will work closely with the Data Intelligence Group and Survey teams to develop and implement GIS-based workflows that optimize data capture, integration, and efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of GIS and/or geospatial experience, including project management responsibility
Strong proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
Demonstrated experience developing GIS-based workflows and field data collection solutions
Solid understanding of cartographic principles and spatial analysis
Experience integrating GIS with survey and CAD data
Familiarity with Esri extensions such as Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer
Ability to drive a passenger vehicle
Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain as needed for field coordination

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting land surveying workflows
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or path toward licensure
Knowledge of Civil 3D, Carlson, GPS post-processing, or Bentley products
Experience with LiDAR, UAV/drone data, or 3D spatial datasets
Experience with scripting, automation, or application development a plus

Responsibilities

Support GIS and geospatial efforts across a wide variety of projects
Work with Data Intelligence team to define GIS and technology-based requirements with internal and external clients
Develop and manage GIS datasets, data models, and spatial workflows
Produce high-quality cartographic products for reports, presentations, and client deliverables
Design and execute geoprocessing workflows and process automation using ArcGIS tools
Work with Data Intelligence team to develop and maintain field data collection application using Esri technologies (ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123) to support geomatics workflows
Manage archiving and maintenance of survey records in a GIS database
Work with Data Intelligence team to support and enhance survey workflows using GIS technologies
Integrate GIS data with survey, CAD (Civil 3D, Carlson), and other spatial systems
Collaborate with survey staff to ensure accurate, efficient data exchange and QA/QC
Apply an understanding of boundary, topographic, and construction survey data within GIS environments
Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and staffing for geospatial tasks
Collaborate with surveyors and others on project teams
Support proposal development, scopes of work, and cost estimates for GIS and geospatial services
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Contribute to a collaborative, technology-driven team culture
