About The Position
GCW Engineering, Inc. is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to join our Flood Control department in Las Vegas, NV. This full-time position requires a strong emphasis on map creation and proficiency in ESRI products, particularly ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise. The GIS Analyst will be responsible for developing and customizing detailed maps, including WebMaps and WebApplications, to support various project needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ESRI products and a strong ability to integrate GIS with CAD systems, as well as the capability to perform advanced geospatial analyses. In this role, the GIS Analyst will develop, maintain, and update a variety of maps to support project requirements. This includes managing and analyzing geospatial data across platforms to ensure accurate data sharing and collaboration. The analyst will design and customize WebMaps and WebApplications to enhance user interaction and data visualization, facilitating the integration and exchange of data between GIS and CAD environments. Additionally, the role involves analyzing topographic, DEM, and raster data to support project requirements, conducting imagery analysis, and applying geoprocessing techniques to derive actionable insights. The GIS Analyst will also be responsible for automating routine GIS tasks and performing complex spatial analyses. Providing ongoing technical support and training to team members on GIS tools and processes is essential, as is ensuring that all GIS outputs are accurate, consistent, and meet the required quality standards for project deliverables. The position requires strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently while adhering to GIS standards and metadata documentation.
