The role supports statewide transportation operations and decision-making by creating, updating, and maintaining maps, spatial datasets, engineering drawings, and cartographic products using GIS software like ArcGIS Pro and Roads & Highways. Collaboration with ODOT leadership, district staff, local agencies, consultants, and external partners is essential for data gathering, issue resolution, and ensuring compliance with state and federal standards. Additionally, the specialist will develop reports, queries, and automated processes using tools such as SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI to enhance data quality and streamline workflows.
