We are dedicated to delivering impactful results to meet mission goals through cutting-edge technology and expertise. We are seeking a Gigamon Engineer, Mid to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and effective solutions for our DoD customers within the IC sector. Role Overview As a systems and network security engineer, the Gigamon Engineer will be responsible for the enterprise deployment and management of the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline and GigaVUE Fabric Manager. This role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and operation of Gigamon solutions to enhance network observability, improve enterprise security posture, and protect networks from malicious payloads. The position requires troubleshooting and resolving complex challenges using Gigamon technologies and supporting large-scale network monitoring efforts.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • Experience architecting and designing IP networks, including developing and documenting network topologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages.
  • Experience designing and implementing DoD enclaves, including compute storage, networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and end-user devices.
  • Experience deploying Gigamon Appliances and network taps.
  • Knowledge of multi-domain architectures, including data center, WAN, and LAN in virtualized environments.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, such as CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND Certification) before start date.
  • HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience with IT projects, Associate’s degree and 5+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with IT projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Linux OS administration and management.
  • Knowledge of building and maintaining SolarWinds NPM and IPAM.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating efforts and establishing customer relations.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design IP networks, including developing and documenting network topologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and system outages.
  • Design and implement DoD enclaves, including compute storage, networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and end-user devices.
  • Deploy Gigamon Appliances and network taps, such as GigaVUE HC-3, GigaVUE T-10 packet broker solutions, and GigaVUE HD series.
  • Manage infrastructure and cyber security controls to enhance detection, vulnerability capabilities, and event correlation in large enterprises.
  • Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
  • Leverage big data analytics and traditional security events to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.
  • Research new technologies and market trends to develop and refine security solutions.
  • Mentor and lead teams in complex troubleshooting and security problem-solving.
