About The Position

The GT Specialist will be responsible for identifying students for gifted services, developing individual student Advanced Learning Plans, participating and conducting professional development in gifted education objectives, collaborating in finding relevant resources for gifted students, gathering, interpreting and communicating gifted student data from multiple sources and communicating gifted education objectives, activities and successes to all stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Colorado Teaching License with GT endorsement or PRAXIS passed
• Applicant must have the knowledge of intellectual and social/emotional needs of gifted learners
• Experience with differentiated instructional strategies
• Possess strong communication skills
• Be willing to participate and lead GT professional development

Responsibilities

• Gather, interpret, and communicate gifted student data from multiple sources
• Oversee the implementation of the program design including identification and advanced learning plan processes
• Provide ongoing communication about gifted education objectives, activities and successes to all stakeholders
• Collaborate in finding appropriate resources to meet the needs of gifted students on caseload
• Participate and lead professional development on characteristics and learning needs of gifted learners.
• Support the District Strategic Plan for gifted services.
