About The Position

This position is more than a career, it's a calling within SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Jefferson City. As a faith-based organization, SSM Health is committed to caring for the most vulnerable in the community. The role involves coordinating both the Volunteer Program and the Gift Shop. Key responsibilities include inventory tracking, scheduling staff and volunteers, and other gift shop activities. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, excellent at building relationships, and possess strong organizational skills to successfully manage both the gift shop and the volunteer program. The gift shop operates Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. The role also coordinates the activities of volunteer services.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
• Two years experience

Responsibilities

• Conducts recruitment, selection and training of volunteers
• Coordinates the schedules and daily activities of volunteers
• Liaison between leadership and volunteer resources to match needs of department with skills of volunteers
• May also organize volunteer recognition program(s) and assist with fundraising efforts
• Performs other duties as assigned.
