Gift Shop / Volunteer Coord
About The Position
This position coordinates both the Volunteer Program and the Gift Shop at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Jefferson City. Key responsibilities include inventory tracking, scheduling staff and volunteers, and other gift shop activities. The role is full-time, working days. As a faith-based organization, SSM Health's mission is to care for the most vulnerable in the community, fostering a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate is outgoing, excellent at building relationships, and possesses strong organizational skills to successfully manage both the gift shop and the volunteer program. Gift shop hours are Monday-Friday 9am - 4pm. SSM Health believes in the healing power of presence, delivered by compassionate individuals.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
- Two years experience
Responsibilities
- Conducts recruitment, selection and training of volunteers
- Coordinates the schedules and daily activities of volunteers
- Liaison between leadership and volunteer resources to match needs of department with skills of volunteers
- May also organize volunteer recognition program(s) and assist with fundraising efforts
- Performs other duties as assigned.
