Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life. Reporting to the Auxiliary Gift Shop Office Manager, provides optimal customer service to all staff, patients, and visitors demonstrating efficient use of cash register, processing credit card and/or payroll deduction transactions, and monitoring accurate cash flow; utilizes helpful sales techniques that exceed customer expectations. The position supports the goals and mission of the Auxiliary at New Britain General.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years retail experience
  • Ability to utilize computerized cash register
  • Be able to work with or without supervision
  • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Retail experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides optimal customer service to all staff, patients, and visitors

  • Responsible for ordering, unpacking, pricing and merchandising (as directed)
