About The Position

San Ramon Endoscopy Center is hiring an GI Tech Float- PRN Welcome to San Ramon Endoscopy Center, we believe health and care are inseparable. We focus on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for your surgical procedure. GI Tech Float- PRN at San Ramon Endoscopy Center The GI Tech is responsible for the provision of care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. Provides a centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment to the facility. In charge of shipping and receiving, stores prepared articles and supplies in designated areas. Maintains and tracks inventory according to facility procedures. Assists in the care, maintenance, preparation and cleaning of equipment per manufacturer's guidelines. Provides assistance to nurses and physician during procedure per the nurses' direction, including but not limited to collecting specimens. Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens. Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique. Assists in the placement of patient monitors per the nurses directions (ie BP cuffs, pulse oximeter, EKG leads, etc.)

Requirements

  • BLS Certification
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of GI experience
  • Basic understanding of practices and concepts related to endoscopy procedures
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous
