About The Position

UT Health East Texas in Tyler, Texas seeking career minded Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider to join our thriving GI team. 432-bed Level 1 Trauma Center in Tyler, TX, is searching for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join an established GI program. Join a GI team of (4) physicians, (2) advanced practice providers, and support team. In patient setting only 7-on-7-off Schedule Thursday---Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm Daily patient volume: 15-20 Perform initial assessments, history, and physical exams on hospitalized patients with GI issues. Manage inpatient GI consults: (GI bleeds, IBD flares, liver disease, pancreatitis). Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the GI team. Order and interpret labs, imaging, and endoscopic results. Coordinate care with other services: (surgery, internal medicine, etc.). Smart Technology: See more patients without extending your day.
