About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced lawyer to join our Global Financial Markets (GFM) practice in New York as a Knowledge Lawyer. This newly created role is to support and lead the development and be a key resource to our associates to enhance their technical and commercial skills.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited US law school
Admitted to the New York Bar
At least six years of experience practicing law, with a focus on transactional matters.
Strong legal research and analytical skills
Ability to create, manage, and update training sessions for associates
Experienced in organizing and producing training sessions, briefing and presentation for lawyers and clients on a broad range of legal topics
Must be proactive and self-motivated
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation skills
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other professionals
Submissions must include a resume and law school transcript(s).

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and deliver structured training programs to build both legal expertise and commercial acumen among associates.
Act as a readily available resource for associates, providing guidance and support on recurring or foundational legal and commercial issues.
Work closely with our Talent team to identify and address operational inefficiencies related to associate training and knowledge gaps.
Monitor and assess associate progress, identifying further development needs and adapting training accordingly.
Facilitate regular feedback sessions with associates to ensure training remains relevant and impactful.
Develop, curate, and maintain a comprehensive suite of practice-specific resources, including toolkits, templates, checklists, and precedents.
Ensure resources are easily accessible and regularly updated to reflect current market practice and legal developments.
Collaborate with lawyers across the firm’s global network to share best practices and contribute to firm-wide knowledge management initiatives.
Provide timely updates and guidance to the team and associates via emails, meetings, and training sessions to support their day-to-day activities.
Produce thought leadership pieces and practical guidance for associates, including the integration of AI and other innovative tools.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the GFM practice.
Deliver tailored induction and training programs for new joiners, ensuring a smooth transition and rapid upskilling.
Curate and promote accessible training opportunities and relevant resources to support ongoing associate development.
