About The Position

The Geriatrics Program Manager is responsible for overseeing Kent Hospitals various geriatric-focused accreditations and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and rules as they relate to the geriatric population. This includes the development of these programs, coordination of staff across disciplines and operating units, collaborating with education, management of ongoing compliance with program quality indicators and participation requirements, coordination of ongoing multidisciplinary team meetings, and acting as a liaison between the hospital, geriatrics, emergency room, and surgical practice(s). The program manager will also work with CNE physician relations staff, community physicians, and CNE marketing to assist in the promotion of the programs to all physicians in Rhode Island. Requirements

  • Bachelor's required, Master's preferred ( Field of study: Healthcare related (nursing preferred)
  • Experience participating in and leading quality improvement or process improvement initiatives in the hospital setting.
  • Program or project management experience or certification
  • Be a respected clinician, willing to provide advice, education, feedback and mentoring to department members and other colleagues.
  • Be willing to work in a team environment to promote excellent care at Kent Hospital and in the community.
  • Be willing to promote Kent Hospitals capabilities to the community and to advocate for Kent and Kents patients.
