About The Position

Lorien Columbia is hiring Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) to join their award-winning team, emphasizing compassion, excellence, and teamwork. Lorien Columbia, the flagship location of Lorien Health Services in Howard County, MD, has been serving the community since 1977. The facility offers a full range of services, including skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy, and is home to the only Korean nursing unit in Howard County. With 215 beds across five nursing units and plans for expansion, Lorien Columbia continues to grow while maintaining its mission of providing exceptional care. Requirements

  • Active Maryland CNA I license-(formally known as a Maryland GNA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care to residents
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Observe residents for changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition and report concerns promptly to nursing staff
  • Document care provided accurately and in accordance with facility policies and procedures
  • Deliver hands‑on support under the direction of the Director of Nursing and licensed nursing staff
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
  • Promote dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life for every resident
