About The Position

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is looking for a Geotechnical Field Engineer to help manage a wide variety of geotechnical projects based out of our Kennesaw , GA office. You will provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. This may include performing and/or leading field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations, design and development of plans and specifications, and the writing, preparation, and review of related reports for the services provided.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or similar degree is required
0 - 3 years applicable experience (willing to accept entry-level applicants)
E.I.T. required or ability to obtain within 3 months
Strong communication skills
Position entails approximately 90% fieldwork and 10% office work.
Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a background check and MVR report

Responsibilities

Operating and maintaining geotechnical testing equipment.
Classifying soil, rock, and geological samples obtained from drilling operations.
Assist in developing the scope and budget of work for routine projects.
Analyze data, perform engineering calculations and analysis, and reporting data to clients under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
Interacts with client and project team.
Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
