STV Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Geotechnical Engineering Specialist for their Franklin, TN location. This entry-level position is designed for graduate engineers new to the workforce. The incumbent will work under close and frequent supervision, assisting Engineers with routine civil engineering assignments to gain familiarity with the company's programs, staff, and operating procedures. Requirements

  • 4 Year degree from accredited institution in Engineering
  • A minimum of 2 years of Geotechnical experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds 50 times per day
  • Occasionally required to lift 150 pounds (about once a week)
  • Work will typically occur in all types of weather and around significant construction equipment with exposure to dirt, grease, oils, etc.
  • Walking over various types of terrain is required such as low lying swampy areas to mountainous, rugged terrain
  • Significant time spent bending or kneeling during each day
  • Most drilling operations require out of town stays

Nice To Haves

  • additional consideration for master's or other advanced degrees
  • Pursuing Engineer in Training Certificate or Professional Engineer Licensure for a current EIT

Responsibilities

  • Assimilation of Geotechnical Reports
  • Supervision of Drill Crew on routine projects and more complex projects as experience increases
  • Assist with Mineral Reserve Studies
