Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking qualified candidates for a Civil or Geotechnical Engineer in Training. The primary focus of this position is to serve U.S. and International-based natural resources clients (primarily mining) with the design and monitoring of earth structures (i.e. tailings storage facilities, waste rock management facilities, natural slopes, etc.). The Civil or Geotechnical Engineer in Training will join a team of about 30 geotechnical engineers across our western regional offices. This position will require a dynamic individual who can assist with site investigations, construction oversight and field monitoring, geotechnical designs and analyses, and technical reporting. This position interacts throughout the organization internally and externally with clients and members of business and professional organizations. Travel for on-site support at various project sites will be required for up to 50% of time annually.
