About The Position

ESP Associates has an immediate need for a Geospatial Office Technician to join the corporate office in Fort Mill, SC (South Charlotte). This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain experience supporting a well-established Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm. ESP is a multi-discipline engineering design and consulting firm providing our clients with civil engineering, surveying, planning/landscape architecture, geosciences, environmental, subsurface utility engineering, and construction engineering inspection. Requirements

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, ESRI ArcMap.
  • Must be goal-oriented with the ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work closely with peers and managers to achieve established goals
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment with time limitations
  • Applicants are expected to be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be available/willing to cross-train in other disciplines, survey (which can include working outdoors) and photogrammetry.
  • Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Geography, Geospatial Technology, GIS, or related field.
  • Background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and/or geography.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of products derived from aerial Light Detection and Ranging (Lidar) and imagery systems.
  • Production of aerial lidar point cloud deliverables and derivative products, as well as quality control reviews of internal and external deliverables.
