Geospatial Analytics Intern
About The Position
The Geospatial Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the geospatial team in various tasks related to spatial data analytics, mapping, and GIS (Geographic Information System) activities. The primary purpose of this role is to provide the intern with hands-on experience and exposure to the field of geospatial technology while contributing to the successful execution of geospatial projects within the organization. The intern will work closely with experienced professionals to gain practical skills, apply theoretical knowledge, and contribute to the overall success of geospatial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in spatial data analysis performing tasks such as geoprocessing, spatial querying, and data manipulation.
- Contribute to the creation of high-quality maps and visualizations in ESRI for various projects.
- Create interactive and dynamic ArcGIS Dashboards to provide real-time insights into geospatial data.
- Work closely with end-users to understand their requirements and design dashboards that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Develop compelling and informative ArcGIS Story Maps to effectively communicate geospatial information and narratives.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand their data visualization needs and translate them into engaging Story Maps.
