About The Position

This is a Hybrid position that requires at least two days a week in office in Austin, Texas! Are you looking for an internship that will put your survey knowledge to the test while learning from a great team of survey professionals? LCRA's Survey, GIS and Technical Services department is looking for a student with interest in land surveying who wants to get real world experience on a variety of projects and survey applications. You will be trusted to: - Perform computer-aided drafting of survey data, including plotting field data and deed record information. - Prepare survey maps and plats. - Support field crew activities to ensure efficient field survey operations. Interprets survey or engineering drawings for field personnel. - Write field note descriptions for review by Registered Professional Land Surveyor. - Research county deed records and tax appraisal office records to determine ownership. - Assist Survey Field Crew in performing survey field work as necessary. You qualify with: - Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent. - Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program in freshman year or has completed freshman year and will be starting sophomore year. Requirements
