BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Provides genetic counseling services in accordance with professional standards of the NSGC and ABMG to individuals and families at risk for hereditary disorders. REPORTS TO Genetics Program Coordinator JOB REQUIREMENTS Supervisory Responsibilities: No Minimum Education: Masters Degree required. Degree: Degree in Genetic Counseling License/Certification Required: Board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics or completion within 18 months. Minimum Work Experience: 1 year of related experience preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
