About The Position

The Generator Value Stream Leader will play a critical role in advancing the Generator and Electrical Systems Team from a strong historical KPI-driven problem-solving foundation toward a more integrated, boundaryless engineering culture. This leader will drive systemic problem solving across functional boundaries, focusing on the most critical business and operational KPIs to improve quality, delivery, and customer outcomes. This role is responsible for accelerating and embedding a proactive, Genba-based problem-solving approach that identifies and addresses root causes of systemic issues impacting First Pass Yield (FPY), On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Customer Escapes. The Generator Value Stream Leader will connect cross-functional teams, align priorities across the organization, and lead enterprise-level optimization efforts where value is truly created. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical depth, operational rigor, leadership capability, and systems thinking, with the ability to drive action and accountability across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain interfaces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Operations, Manufacturing, or a related technical field from an accredited university or college.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, or value stream leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional problem-solving initiatives in a complex industrial or technical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, continuous improvement, Lean principles, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Proven ability to analyze KPI performance and convert data into actionable operational improvements.
  • Experience working across organizational boundaries to influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation of problem solving within the Generator and Electrical Systems Team from functional KPI ownership to an integrated, value-stream-based operating model.
  • Drive cross-functional root cause identification and corrective action for systemic issues affecting FPY, OTD, and Customer Escapes .
  • Establish and embed a proactive Genba-focused approach to problem solving, ensuring issues are observed, understood, and resolved at the point of value creation.
  • Facilitate collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and operations to solve complex challenges that span organizational boundaries.
  • Align stakeholders around the most critical KPIs as interconnected system challenges rather than isolated functional metrics.
  • Lead and mature escalation and review mechanisms, including Management Operating Reviews (MORs), to move from functional optimization toward enterprise-level outcomes.
  • Translate KPI trends and operational performance data into prioritized action plans that drive measurable improvements in quality and delivery.
  • Build organizational capability in structured problem solving, root cause analysis, and systemic corrective action methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement while enabling faster, more synchronized decision-making across teams.
  • Partner with functional leaders to ensure sustainable solutions are implemented, standardized, and monitored for effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key change agent in creating a more boundaryless engineering culture that accelerates issue resolution and improves business performance.
