Ontic’s Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. Our team is looking for a Value Stream Lead at our Chatsworth Location. The Value Stream Leader is responsible for the operational and financial performance of an assigned value stream or product family. This role executes the value stream strategy established by the Value Stream Director and ensures delivery of program commitments, customer satisfaction, and financial objectives. The Value Stream Leader drives day-to-day program execution, supports pricing and forecasting processes, ensures compliance with customer agreements, and partners cross-functionally to maintain operational health. This leader plays a critical role in aligning engineering, supply chain, operations, and customer service to deliver results. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related technical field required.
  • Working knowledge of aerospace OE/aftermarket/government business practices
  • 5–10 years of experience in aerospace, defense, OE, or aftermarket environments.
  • Experience in program management, product management, or operations leadership required.
  • Understanding of pricing strategy and cost drivers.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Ability to lead by influence across functions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • Exposure to government contracts and aerospace regulatory environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Value Stream Execution & Financial Performance Own operational performance of assigned value stream(s) including revenue, margin, delivery, and inventory targets.
  • Support P&L management through cost control, margin improvement initiatives, and working capital optimization.
  • Execute value stream strategy in alignment with site and company financial objectives .
  • Monitor KPIs and lead corrective action planning when performance gaps arise
  • Program & Product Lifecycle Management Lead program execution to ensure contractual commitments are met or exceeded.
  • Support development and maintenance of product and program strategies.
  • Partner with Engineering to prioritize projects and resolve technical barriers impacting customer delivery .
  • Manage risks throughout the product lifecycle including obsolescence, supply constraints, and margin erosion.
  • Customer & Contract Management Serve as primary escalation point for assigned customers.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and end-user agreements including pricing and lead time performance.
  • Support order acquisition efforts in collaboration with Sales and Revenue Management.
  • Strengthening customer relationships through structured business reviews and performance transparency.
  • Forecasting & Operational Alignment Lead monthly forecasting updates to align sales pipeline, production planning, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to balance demand, capacity, and service levels.
  • Identify and mitigate risks impacting revenue forecast accuracy.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership Lead cross-functional value stream meetings and performance reviews.
  • Drive alignment across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Influence without direct authority to resolve issues spanning multiple departments.
  • Promote continuous improvement within the Management Operating System (MOS).
  • Culture, Safety & Quality Foster a culture that prioritizes safety, compliance, and quality
  • Model ethical decision-making and accountability.
  • Develop and coach team members to improve program management and customer engagement capabilities.
