Summary/Objective The General Warehouse Representative I plays a key role in the daily operations of the warehouse by processing incoming orders, picking and packing items, and ensuring timely, accurate shipments. This position is also responsible for inventory organization and retrieval, while maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. A strong attention to detail is essential to verify customer service orders and ensure shipments are fulfilled correctly.

Requirements

  • Valid forklift certification
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented and collaborative work style with a positive, solution-focused attitude
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders via email and respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Enter orders received from a shared email inbox into the order system.
  • Prepare products, spare parts, returned items, and other shipments using established packaging and labeling procedures (boxing, bundling, wrapping, crating, strapping, etc.).
  • Generate shipping documents and schedule freight pick-ups as required.
  • Ensure shipments are dispatched with appropriate service levels and correct documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify the Warehouse Manager of low or critical stock.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to transport goods.
  • Load and unload freight trucks as needed.
  • Receive incoming shipments, document received items and notify the appropriate personnel or department.
  • Pick and ship items for Sales Operations for new machine installs and upgrade orders.
