About The Position

Monitor the production process by spreading, inspecting and packing product.

Requirements

• Prefer High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable
• Self-driven
• Palletjack Certification for certain production workers

Responsibilities

• Must use both hands
• Will be standing by a continually moving conveyor to spread and inspect goods
• Remove scrap product from both sides of convey or belt and put into inedible barrel
• Product is packed off on a running conveyor into boxes weighing 9# - 35# depending on product
• Boxes are then pushed down a running conveyor from scale, closed and pushed through tape machine and stacked on skids to a height of between 4 to 6 feet
• Product is then transferred to freezer by use of palletjacks
• Report any issues with product to lead/manager/supervisor
• Work as a team under supervision of lead
• OT is often available
• When line is down sweep/clean production area
• Follow all safety rules and regulations per established company policies
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP’s, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, Quality & USDA requirements.
