General Surgeon Independent Contractor
About The Position
Concentra, a leading healthcare company, is seeking a general surgeon to work as a 1099 independent contractor at one of its locations. This contract position is designed to complement the surgeon's existing practice, typically involving a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis. Concentra Advanced Specialists manage medically complex patients, aiming to expedite their return to work and functional restoration. The surgeon will collaborate with medical and therapy providers to deliver both non-surgical and surgical specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Additionally, the role involves communicating with employers and actively participating in case management, with the goal of significantly impacting patient care.
Requirements
- Licensure requirements of the state of practice
- Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
- Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in General Surgery
- Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries
