About The Position

he General Shop Laborer supports daily production activities by safely performing hands-on manufacturing tasks, equipment setup, and general labor duties. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment. Essential Job Functions:

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to quality.
Must be safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Must be a U.S citizen.

Responsibilities

Operate hand tools and power equipment to remove excess metal and burs from workpieces.
Clean, inspect, and maintain tools, machinery, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
Assist with basic machine setup, attachment installation, and production support.
Examine finished work to verify conformance to specifications.
Follow standard operating procedures and all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
Communicate any injuries, unsafe acts, or equipment failures to the team lead immediately.
Maintain accurate records of completed work and material usage as required.
Support other production areas as needed.
Assist in general shop housekeeping and material handling.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.
