About The Position

General Services Specialist #1202 Facilities Management | Administration Salary range $30,930.90 - $38,662.71 with an excellent benefits package including employer paid pension contribution | Employees of The Florida Bar are eligible to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs Mail Center and Shipping /Receiving operations tasks related to incoming/outgoing mail and product deliveries (USPS/FEDEX/UPS/Common Carrier). Performs tasks associated with print shop operations using a multitude of high speed duplicating machines and inventory management. Pick and pack warehoused materials or other provided products for distribution and shipping. Check and monitor buildings and grounds on a continuous basis for potential hazards and security perils; reports or assists with security concerns. Light duty preventive maintenance or routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, and all appurtenances of the Campus. Ex. Include but are not limited to furniture relocation, painting, bathroom & kitchen supply refills, ordering supplies. Performs any other related tasks as requested by team leader or management. Knowledge of: - Basic communication (written and verbal) and arithmetic - Customer Service - Postal regulations and rates - Safety principles Skilled in: - Use of postal and shipping equipment - General office equipment and programs - General facility and grounds maintenance and repair Ability to: - Independently follow written and oral instructions - Perform basic arithmetical calculations correctly - Maintain records accurately - Maintain confidentiality - Recognize and communicate potential security concerns - Conduct self in a receptive, responsible and professional manner - Recognize unsafe environment Required minimum education: High School Diploma (or its equivalency). Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.; bend, stand and walk for long periods of time; available outside normal working hours. Required licensure certification(s): Valid Driver’s license.
