This position is responsible and accountable for providing light building, grounds, and plumbing maintenance, completing monthly preventive maintenance (PM's), mail services, freight delivery/receipt, meeting space arrangements, and reporting/ensuring the MPC Workforce Development Center is maintained to first class standards. This includes duties such as, but not limited to: + Coordinate with meeting organizers to ensure space setups for meetings and provide AV assistance. Assist with corporate events, as needed. + Perform miscellaneous building maintenance which could include but is not limited to climbing / balancing on ladders 6 - 12 feet to replace light bulbs, ballasts, ceiling tiles, and hang pictures. Includes light janitorial and building maintenance, light ground maintenance and the ability to report escalated issues into the Archibus system. + Routinely required to lift, move and set up heavy objects without assistance. + A preemployment physical will be required for this position. + Efficient handling of all mail services, freight receipt/delivery responsibilities for employees located at this location. + This position will be responsible for serving as a back-up for the on-site Facility Response Coordinator working in coordination with Environmental Affairs for the MPC Operations Center. This position would need to ensure monthly and annual SPCC documentation for SPCC (Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures) reporting is completed and maintained for all spills for the Operations Center. Must be able to produce paperwork for Audit purposes. Respond to and report any spill accordingly. + Gain working knowledge/understanding of Audio-Visual equipment in Assembly Rooms A & B and conference rooms. Provide general AV assistance to meeting organizers and be able to trouble shoot for AV issues. Escalate major issues to IT to ensure meeting success. Monitoring, reporting issues and purchasing supplies as needed. + This position is considered critical during storm events. This position is required to make storm-ready the Workforce Development Center (sandbagging, securing loose items, etc.) and then report to the MPC Storm Center, support the EOC Coordinator before, during and post storm event and shelter in place during the event. + This position will support General Services in other MPC locations, as needed. + Serve as back-up for the GS Facilities Specialists at the Covey Center, Corporate Headquarters, MPC Operations Center, Mail Services (Corporate Headquarters) and perform other duties as assigned. The initial work location could be reassigned to another corporate location, as needed.
