About The Position

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a General Security Administrative Assistant in San Diego, CA. This position is contingent upon contract award

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in the field of work or related military experience
  • In-depth understanding of security, including personal and information security
  • At least two years of experience using the Defense Information System for Security
  • Ability to operate an information technology system with common/standard business software programs
  • Ability to work on site 100 percent of the time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to enter data in multiple databases and maintain it
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in performing all tasks
  • Ability to perform duties independently with minimal oversight
  • Ability to write correspondence in a military format when necessary
  • Professional conduct and compliance with all applicable policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Support the customer’s Security Manager in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures
  • Review, process, and submit accurate and error-free requests for security clearance investigations using the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency portal
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records and submit required reports
  • Conduct interviews
  • Perform records checks, indoctrinations, and briefings
  • Assist with access control and credentialing
  • Verify security clearances
