This role is designed for tenured dealership sales managers who have demonstrated long-term success, team stability, and consistent performance in prior leadership roles. This is a performance-based leadership position with compensation directly tied to dealership results. If you have a strong track record of growing volume and gross - and staying long enough to build real teams and systems - this opportunity offers the authority and income to match.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of automotive dealership sales management experience (GSM preferred)
  • Proven success leading high-performing sales teams
  • Demonstrated longevity and stability in prior dealership roles
  • Strong understanding of desking, inventory management, and F&I processes
  • Data-driven approach with forecasting and KPI management skills
  • Confident, professional leadership presence
  • Excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills
  • Valid California driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Candidates with frequent job changes or short tenures will be carefully evaluated.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of new and used vehicle sales operations
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain Sales Managers and Sales Consultants
  • Set, track, and achieve dealership goals for volume, gross profit, CSI, and market share
  • Desk and structure deals while protecting profitability and compliance
  • Enforce consistent sales processes and Seiner "Steps to the Sale"
  • Manage inventory levels, turn rates, aging, and OEM benchmarks
  • Conduct forecasting, performance reviews, and save-a-deal meetings
  • Partner with Marketing on digital advertising, lead generation, and conversion strategy
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager on operational planning and growth
  • Maintain compliance with all California, federal, and manufacturer sales regulations
